Laura Jorstad
President & CEO
Laura Jorstad is an accomplished accounting professional who brings more than 20 years of nonprofit financial management experience to NFP Partners’ clients. When Laura joined NFP Partners, the firm was in the development stage of its accounting services delivery model. Under Laura’s direction, the firm has provided a collaborative model of accounting, CFO, and transitional services to dozens of nonprofits. Some of the firm’s original nonprofit organizations are still receiving accounting services from the NFP Partners’ team.
Stephanie Underwood
Vice President of Accounting Services
Stephanie Underwood boasts over a decade of experience in nonprofit accounting. Stephanie actively engages with nonprofits seeking accounting solutions, fostering strong relationships with each organization, regardless of their accounting need. She excels at providing guidance to the growing NFP Partners team, a task she’s performed since joining the company in 2016. Her leadership is marked by a keen understanding of nonprofits’ accounting challenges and a commitment to meeting them where they are and guiding them forward.

NFP Partners’ Accounting Team Supervisors play pivotal roles in helping ensure the company is meeting the unique and impactful needs of our nonprofit clients. The highly skilled Accounting Team Supervisors complete senior accountant-level tasks, review team-prepared client deliverables, create financial statements, and participate in business development. They also serve as the point person for client inquiries, internally and externally, and more.
Kim Lovejoy
Accounting Team Supervisor
Kim, a licensed Florida CPA, is a highly skilled and dedicated professional who has been a valuable addition to NFP Partners since joining in 2022. With a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of South Florida, Kim brings 20+ years of nonprofit accounting experience to her role as an Accounting Team Supervisor. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kim’s commitment to community service is reflected in her volunteer work for local animal charities. Residing in Lakeland, Florida, with her husband and three furbabies, Kim enjoys reading, crocheting, and baking.
Connie Pease
Accounting Team Supervisor
Connie Pease is a seasoned CPA and has been with NFP Partners since 2022. With a BA from Michigan State University, Connie’s career, which spans across 25 years, encompasses multifaceted roles in accounting and financial management. In her current role as an Accounting Team Supervisor, Connie has been instrumental in supporting the nonprofit accounting team. Beyond her professional commitments, Connie finds joy in family life, being married and nurturing three adult children. During her leisure moments, she indulges in hobbies like reading, crafting, and gardening. Connie also enjoys serene walks with her trio of beloved dogs.
Jody Zatorski
Accounting Team Supervisor
Jody Zatorski is an integral Accounting Team Supervisor at NFP Partners, holding a pivotal role within the nonprofit accounting team since joining in 2017. Jody earned a BS from the University of Maryland University College and an MBA in Accounting from Colorado Technical University. Now embracing the empty nester phase of life, Jody finds joy in exploring the world with her husband. She indulges in travel adventures and the world of reading. Her commitment to both professional excellence and a fulfilling personal life epitomizes her dedication to a well-rounded and enriching lifestyle.
Meet Our Nonprofit Staff & Senior Accountants
As essential members of our accounting team, the Senior and Staff Accountants conduct fundamental troubleshooting, reconciliation, and invoicing tasks for NFP Partners nonprofit partners. The roles involve meticulous attention to detail while overseeing payroll, taxes, and benefits. The Accountants contribute significantly to our team’s success by providing accurate financial management and support to nonprofits, demonstrating expertise in diverse accounting functions, and enhancing the overall efficiency of our clients’ operations.
Nicci Hardman
Senior Nonprofit Accountant
Nicci has more than 23 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. In her career, she has implemented accounting software systems, set up policies and procedures, managed all aspects of the general ledger operations, and more.
Anne Messerli
Staff Nonprofit Accountant
Anne has been with NFP Partners since 2017, and assists nonprofits with accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant management, budgeting, reconciliations, and processing of month-end financial reports.
Rachel Giannini
Staff Nonprofit Accountant
Rachel helps with NFP Partners’ daily accounting services and many of the company’s financial services and tax filings. She brings 10+ years of experience in public accounting and accounting services.
Marcel Moore
Marketing Coordinator
Marcel uses his passion for nonprofit branding to support NFP Partners’ digital content creation. He manages the company’s social media accounts and has been supporting marketing strategies, campaigns, and client engagement since joining NFP Partners in 2024. A resident of Atlanta, Ga., Marcel has experience in starting his own nonprofit and enjoys traveling and making art.
Courtney Wright
Staff Nonprofit Accountant
Courtney brings more than 14 years of working in mutual fund accounting and a passion for nonprofit accounting. Courtney has experience overseeing daily expense postings and reviewing accounts payable to multiple fund managers and service providers.
Faith Hanson
Staff Nonprofit Accountant
Faith, who joined NFP Partners in 2022, demonstrates proficiency in Excel and Quickbooks. She leverages her prior experience as a staff accountant to support nonprofits with audits and 990 forms preparation.
Danielle Kellison
Staff Nonprofit Accountant
Danielle has 15+ years of accounting expertise and serves as a staff accountant at NFP Partners. She manages reconciliation, payroll, and financial tasks. Outside of work, Danielle, a mother of six from rural Missouri, enjoys horseback riding, hiking, and running, while staying busy with her children’s activities, sports, and music.
Kim Way
Staff Nonprofit Accountant
Kim joined NFP Partners in 2023 and has an AAS in Business Management from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She brings over 30 years of accounting expertise, specializing in nonprofit financial management, software implementation, and process optimization, all fueled by her dedication to the mission of improving communities.
Jazmone Long
Staff Nonprofit Accountant
Having a robust accounting background encompassing areas like accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, financial reporting, budgeting, grant management, and tax preparation, Jazmone possesses a comprehensive understanding of the nonprofit accounting landscape. She takes pleasure in delving into the unique missions of her clients, showcasing a genuine interest in learning about and supporting their organizational objectives.
Katie Sullivan

Katie helps bridge support for organizations in the transition to hiring a full-time accounting position. She brings over 20 years of experience in nonprofit communication, management, and financial systems.
Makalah Emanuel
Marketing Director
Makalah oversees and supports the organization’s internal and external communications and marketing strategies, brand management, and team culture. Makalah holds almost 10 years of experience in nonprofit communications, media relations, and PR. She has been with NFP Partners since 2016 and enjoys helping the organization share more about its partnership with nonprofit clients and the NFP team.
